One of the largest freelancing platforms Fiverr is now open to AI artists and ChatGPT geeks to be a seller on Fiverr as it has now introduced a new category ‘AI artists’. Previously there was no such category that distinguish between an AI user seller and a traditional seller. You can check it out here.
This move wasn’t much expected by Fiverr as other websites like Getty images did the opposite as they banned the upload and sale of illustrations generated using AI art tools like DALL-E, Midjourney, and Stable Diffusion.
Fiverr did realize that AI is now among us and made the move as more AI users were storming the platform, making gigs on writing and graphic design section majorly, keeping their price much lower than the ones who are experts because all they have to do is some few clicks to get the order done in minutes.
AIs like Stable diffusion, Midjourney, DALL-E are really making a buzz as they are producing astonishing artworks in just a few seconds whereas a creative artist needs a lot of time and money compared to an AI user. This will surely make the buyer think twice before making an order. It is an alarming situation for traditional writers, proofreaders, graphic designers, etc as this move can make a negative impact on them. But it's only an initial phase because most of the gigs created in that category don't have much ratings and reviews.
